The community of Woodbridge, VA, is located in Prince William county, approximately 20 miles south of Washington, D.C. Woodbridge Magisterial District spans 10.8 square miles and is covered by zip codes 22191 through 22195. Housing in Woodbridge is comprised of a mix of condominiums, townhomes, duplexes, and single-family homes. Woodbridge Magisterial District is home to over 54,000 residents spread across more than 17,000 households at the time of the 2010 United States Census. The community is well served by public transit options including two VRE stations on the Fredericksburg line, Woodbridge and Rippon, in addition to multiple PRTC OmniRide, OmniLink and Metro Direct bus routes.

Local attractions include Rippon Lodge, built around 1747, which is the oldest house remaining in Prince William County; the 644-acre Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge, a natural habitat for over 220 species of birds including bald eagles and ospreys; and Leesylvania State Park which includes four picnic shelters, a small campground, five hiking trails, a natural sand beach, fishing pier and a boat ramp.
