When driving to neighborhood of Montclair, you get a feeling of belonging, and appreciation the community as a whole. It is established in 1969, Montclair is comprised of approximately 3,800 homes surrounding a 108-acre lake, with a broad central boulevard separated by exquisite flowering trees, attractive landscaping and bordered by wide sidewalks perfect for walking, jogging or cycling. The community is within walking distance of several schools, a golf course, tennis courts, soccer fields, two swimming pools, two shopping centers and a fire and rescue squad. The community itself is pleasant and welcoming.
Let’s talk about the 108-acre lake in the heart of Montclair. It’s the hub of the community. Every activity that takes place in Montclair is held around the lake. Activities such as 4th of July fireworks, Octoberfest, Easter Egg hunt, Santa’s ride, local community concerts and movie nights, etc. The lake has 3 beaches for residents to use during the summers with lifeguards present all the time. Each beach has a swim dock, picnic area, a large wide playground for kites and general play area. Around the lake, trail paths are set for residents to use for walking and jogging that stretch on the sidewalks of Waterway Drive.
It was listed best place to live in Northern Virginia in 2006 and 2014. Montclair was ranked #35 in Money Magazine’s list of top 100 places to live. It is close proximity to Forest National Park, Montclair is on the south border of the park, which boasts camping and walking trails, and is located less than a 30-minute drive from Marine Corps Base Quantico. With Potomac Mills Mall and Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center a mere five miles outside our community. Additionally, Montclair Country Club is private country club located in the community. The community is within walking distance of several local schools, tennis courts, soccer fields, shopping centers and a fires and rescue squads.
